The Jazz Exiles are a 5-piece, two-time JUNO nominated Jazz-Fusion unit based out of Toronto, ON Canada. This exciting Canadian group of all-stars is helmed by drummer, composer and leader, Mark Kelso. This group also features some of Canada’s finest and in-demand musicians as well! On alto sax, from Camaguey, Cuba is 2024 JUNO nominee, Luis Gonzalez Deniz and on guitar from Santi Spiritus, Cuba is the 2022 JUNO nominee Elmer Ferrer. On keyboards we have the spectacular talents of up-and-coming Gianluca Occhipinti (Toronto) and lastly on bass, we have the virtuosic voice of --------------- . Together these five musicians create a uniquely exciting and melodic sound that has been thrilling audiences across North America since 2016. With 3 recordings under their belt (Stealing From My Youth [2016 JUNO nominee], Elementals [2017] and their most recent one, The Dragon’s Tail [2022 JUNO nominee]) they are well on their way to becoming one of Canada’s best exports!
