Award-winning saxophonist Tymish Koznarsky is a dynamic voice  in Toronto’s jazz scene. Known for his expressive tone and deep  musicality, Tymish leads his own quintet and is a sought-after  sideman, performing regularly at top venues across the city. He  has worked and studied with jazz luminaries such as Harold  Mabern, Terri Lyne Carrington, Kirk MacDonald, and Pat  LaBarbera, and was a featured soloist on Caity Gyorgy’s Juno  Award-winning album Featuring. 

A frequent performer at The Rex, Tymish has appeared with  ensembles including the Jacob Chung Quintet, Ale Nunez group,  Duncan Wilson Quartet and more. His recent work includes a  recording with acclaimed vocalist Ale Nunez on her EP Lemon  Tree. His artistry has earned him multiple accolades, including the  Lou Williamson Woodwind Scholarship, the Greg Wells  Scholarship, and the Kira Payne Memorial Bursary.
