Thomas Mason is a jazz guitarist and educator who studied Jazz Performance at Mohawk College and the University of Toronto. While at U of T, he performed with the acclaimed 10 O'Clock Jazz Orchestra and had the opportunity to perform with internationally recognized saxophonists Dave Liebman and Jerry Bergonzi. His musical development was shaped through studies with respected jazz musicians and educators Bob Shields, Reg Schwager, Chase Sanborn, and Geoff Young. Drawing from both traditional and modern jazz influences, Thom brings a swinging, melodic approach to performance and improvisation in a variety of ensemble settings.
