Sour Stew is a Toronto-based trio playing absolutely any music they can get their hands on. From Salsa to Hip-hop to samba and swing, all the way to contemporary renditions of classical pieces - absolutely nothing is off-limits. 

The group owes its breadth of inspiration to the diversity of its members. Alex Buck (Piano) brings a complex harmony and creativity from his wealth of experience in the jazz tradition. Zach Dawood (Drums) adds a rhythmic intensity with a more modern sound from his background in fusion and hip-hop. Sergio Dhelomme (Bass) puts his Brazilian upbringing on full display injecting a fun latin feel and groove. 

Sour Stew strives not to master a single sound, but to play with all that music has to offer - both expressing themselves with a wide repertoire of written original music and challenging themselves with complex arrangements and new styles.
