American saxophonist, composer, and author Walt Weiskopf and his European Quartet (WWEQ) announce their 2025-26 (eigth annual) three-leg winter tour, hitting the European and Scandinavian jazz circuit in November and January; and then again in April for a third leg in Canada. Playing music from their most recent album All We Need Is Love(To be released during fall 2025), WWEQ is comprised of three of Europe's finest and most sought-after rhythm section artists, Carl Winther (piano), Andreas Lang (bass), and Anders Mogensen (drums). Along with Weiskopf, the quartet continues to make sterling marks in the worldwide jazz scene.

Says Dan Bilawsky of JazzTimes about Diamond and Other Jewels, “Three of the album’s eight tracks play directly to its title...blues-based ‘Black Diamond;’...a probing and swinging ‘Blood Diamond;’...and [the] glistening ballad ‘Other Jewels.’...The remaining pieces further highlight Weiskopf’s stellar horn work, his writing and arranging, and a strong connection between bandmates.

Says Weiskopf about next year’s extended tour, “Carl, Andreas, Anders, and I are very excited to commence playing together again this season. Our hearts and minds are focused on bringing great music to jazz-loving audiences here and abroad!”

All WWEQ albums can be found on Spotify and other streaming platforms.
