Based out of Toronto, MPM Mojo Organ Trio is reviving the classic sound of the Organ Trio. Deeply rooted in the tradition, guitarist Matthew Tenedero, drummer Petros Anagnostakos and organist Max DeGroot each bring their own personality to the swing and groove based style. Eager to innovate within the classic setting all while paying homage to the early greats such us Jimmy Smith, Wild Bill Davis and Melvin Rhyne as well as later examples of organ based music like the Meters and 70's funky Grant Green, the group can be described as a playful yet conscientious "neo-organ trio."
