Toronto-based jazz singer Maureen Kennedy has cultivated an extensive repertoire of memorable standards and rediscovered gems that reflect her passion for repertoire. In terms of singers, she is inspired by stylists like Helen Merrill, Chris Connor, Carmen McRae and Irene Kral.

Through the years Ms. Kennedy has performed at numerous venues and arts events in and around the city of Toronto with many of Canada’s accomplished jazz players.

Her two recordings, This Is Always, and Out of the Shadows, received widespread radio play in Canada and the United States.
