This Toronto-based ensemble began by shouting its global infusion of funk, jazz  and roots music from the streets in 2022. The Libation Street Band offers a  revolving door of orchestration, centred around the multi-keys set-up of Dave  Chan, the syncopated drumming of Larry Graves and the deep bass grooves of  Liam Smith. For this performance they will be joined be conversational blowing of  horn-smiths Paul Metcalfe on saxophone and Jamie Stager on trombone.  Sometimes the band also sings.  

Recently the group has performed at The Guelph Jazz Festival (2022-23), The  Toronto Jazz Festival (2023 & 2024) and a variety of club and concert venue  dates in Toronto (The Cameron House, DROM, Hirut Cafe) and a mini-tour of  eastern Ontario (including appearances in Ottawa and at MUSIC Westport).
