Ewen Farncombe’s Monk Tribute features some of Canada’s finest musicians paying homage  to the great composer and pianist, Thelonious Monk. Featuring some of his most well known  and loved compositions as well as his lesser known gems, the groups’ aim is to present the  music of Monk in a way that he would appreciate, and to provide not only musical  entertainment and the means for joyous dance, but an educational element as well. There are  stories and tales, theres trivia, there are messages passed down from a master, and from the  band there is a truly sincere feeling of respect and admiration for one of America’s greatest.
