Mattaus Gretzinger’s quartet is a Toronto based band playing swinging music. From interpretations of jazz standards and songbook tunes, to modern jazz compositions and originals written by Mattaus, the quartet provides new, fresh perspectives and work together to showcase their unique styles. Mattaus is especially inspired by the John Coltrane quartet and Kenny Garret. He has worked with legends Dave Young and Robi Botos, and has studied with Ben Solomon, Kelly Jefferson, Todd Delgiudice and John Johnson.
