Gracie Singh-Yuz is a jazz vocalist, bandleader, arranger, and educator located in Toronto, Canada. She is a dedicated and passionate emerging artist gigging with bands around Toronto who creates a joyful and captivating audience experience through her performances of jazz standards. She values paying tribute to the jazz greats while also sharing her musical stylings that make the songs uniquely her own.
Gracie’s performances highlight her exciting and virtuosic improvisatory abilities through the art of scatting and her take on melodies. She performs with bands of other dedicated musicians at venues across Toronto such as The Emmet Ray and The Jazz Bistro. She recently made her debut in the Toronto Jazz Fest as a part of the Jazz Intensive Ensemble. Her biggest musical influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Blossom Dearie, along with many other singers from the 1940-60’s time period, giving her sound lots of range and musical depth. Gracie strives to grow her sound through her current jazz education at the University of Toronto where she is entering her fourth year. She is constantly making music with her peers and at jam sessions throughout the city.
