Katie Malloch Farewell (CBC Event)
Katie Malloch, the much-loved voice of jazz in Canada on CBC Radio, has recently announced her retirement from the airwaves. Katie has hosted a number of jazz programs on CBC: That Midnight Jazz, Jazzbeat – and most recently, Tonic.
To thank jazz fans across Canada who have enjoyed her broadcasts over the years, Katie is inviting her audience to an evening of great music at The Rex on Wednesday, February 1. She will be on stage with The Barry Elmes Quintet and guests Diana Panton (vocals), Don Thompson (vibraphone), Mark Eisenman (piano). The concert begins at 7 pm.
